This week find an accountability partner
As we are coming up on vacation season with kids being out of school
and it is going to get crazy. A partner will help you get back on track
quickly as opposed to being out of the healthy cycle either short term or
long term.
Who is a great partner:
 | Close friend(s) |
 | Spouse |
 | Neighbor |
 | Co-worker |
What to look for in a partner:
 | Similar goals as you: (i.e. lose weight, get
healthy, healthier family, etc.) |
 | Accountable, responsible- keep each other on track
especially when 1 “needs” a break. |
 | Convenient- someone who lives close and/or you are
in contact with often |
 | Similar life situations: (single, married w/o kids,
married w/ kids, single w/ kids, kids out of the house, etc.) |
Find someone who can help motivate you to keep going, when you feel
ready to quit, AND you can motivate them. The closer your goals are the
easier you will find it to help each other. If your goal is to lose
weight and your partner’s goal is to quit smoking, you wouldn’t help each
other as much as if you are both trying to train for a 5k race.
There is no better thing than to get healthy with
those you love and care about!
