I want to preface this week with a disclosure. For
the next few weeks I am going to be challe
nging many of the core values
you may have for health. My goal is NOT to make you believe what I am
saying. It is to get you thinking about why you believe what you
believe. By researching your beliefs, you will either strengthen the
faith in what you are doing or realize that you need to turn what you are
doing in around in some or all areas of your life. Regardless by taking
an active role in your health and the health of the people you love,
everyone will be healthier.
Research everything about your health. Question your
Doctors, your medications, your procedures, everything you see advertised,
everything that relates to your health and/or your family’s health. Do
your homework (not just medical based websites and books) until you are
certain that you know what you are doing and it is what you want to do.
Look around and as a society you will see that we are
going in the wrong direction. As a population the US has never been
sicker, fatter or looking for a quick fix as much as we are today. Most
of our health problems are caused by our lifestyles and by changing only
our lifestyles we can fix the problems as opposed to just suppressing
symptoms.
Unfortunately as a society we have 2
major problems in the United States that has led to our health
crisis.
First, we have been too trusting of our Doctors. We
are under the assumption that they know what it will take to get us
better; therefore, we should follow their orders. Sadly in many cases
this ends up being a symptom wild goose chase. In many cases it is not
the Doctors fault. The medical profession is falsely called “Health Care”
when in reality it is “Sick Care”. Doctors are trained to recognize
symptoms and diseases and are trained that drugs and surgery are the
easiest solution. Instead of recognizing that symptoms are NOT the
problem (symptoms are just they way the body expresses that there is a
problem in the body) Doctors see symptoms as the problem; therefore,
getting rid of the symptoms problem solved. Right?
Second, we have been too trusting of the FDA and
government agencies that are supposed to research and control the products
that we put in/on our bodies such as: medications, food, food additives,
and other products. The FDA is supposed to be testing products to make
sure they are safe BEFORE they are put on the market. Instead products
are approved as quickly as possible with little to no research and then if
problems start being reported they will investigate (it could be many
years before a dangerous product is pulled from the public.) This article

The problem with the FDA is so bad that the FDA
indicted itself. Read more about the indictment here:
